About Us

After a diploma in Nature Conservation, Liz Roodt worked with CARE - Phalaborwa, a wildlife rehabilitation centre specialising in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-introduction of the Chacma baboon. She realised the need for veterinary skills if she were to stay in the field of primates and conservation and so did her degree in Veterinary Nursing at Onderstepoort, Pretoria.

Her volunteer work included Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Uganda and Sanaga Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Centre, Cameroon. She heads AWARE – South Africa.

Nicole Geller worked with SANCCOB - Cape Town, a wildlife rehabilitation centre specialising in the rehabilitation and reintroduction of oiled sea birds.
